Mosconi Cup: Europe won the 2007 PartyPoker.net Mosconi Cup with an 11-8 triumph over America. Ralf Souquet, the most experienced player in the European team, clinched the victory with a 6-4 success over Rodney Morris. The visitors had only won the cup twice in the previous 13 years and had to fight back from a 4-1 deficit on the opening day, but managed to do so in style by winning ten of the next 14 matches. There were incredible scenes in Studio B of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as Ralf Souquet sunk the final 9-ball. Immediately, the rest of the European team rushed on to the stage to celebrate. Once again Editec assisted Sky Sports in their production of the Mosconi Cup from Las Vegas. Steve Cotterill and Julia Jones flew into Vegas to operate the EVS equipment and MAC Edits on this annual “Ryder Cup” of Pool.

World Darts – Alexandra Palace: The palace was packed for this extravaganza of world darts over the 2 week festive period. Editec’s Outside Broadcast Truck, loaded with 4 XT 6 channel EVS (2 super motion) and the Mac G5 Edit Station, coupled with Arena Television’s facilities, was “bedded” at the Palace and our crew of 6 senior operators were never off the "oche" for the entire event, bringing instant replays, highlights and analysis of all the action as the Canadian John Part won the 2008 Ladbrokes.com PDC World Championship with a 7-2 victory over qualifier Kirk Shepherd.

Champions League: Editec assist Sky Sports in their coverage of the UEFA Champions League by supplementing the Studio based equipment with additional 6ch EVS’s and senior operators. The 2007-2008 season is about to commence and Editec have been commissioned to supply both SD and HD EVS systems and staff for the opening rounds of Europe's premier Football competition.

High Definition: We all know its coming and Editec is now geared up to provide HD facilities to its clients over the coming months. We have already invested in the latest SONY Tape Deck (HDW M2000P) and a HDV ENG Kit. Our air conditioned edit suite has the latest AJA HD uncompressed editing solution based on the highest specification MAC G5 multiprocessers with external disk arrays and Final Cut 5 HD. Editec has already taken possession of 4 HD EVS XT2’s and will be ordering several more in order to assist on client productions that are committed to HD.

Ryder Cup 2006: Editec were over at the K club in September 2006 assisting RTE along with Observe Ltd in providing High Definition transmission of this bi-annual golf spectactular for the Irish audience. 3 HD EVS XT2 6ch systems and our HD Mac G5 edit facilities will be installed in the Observe OB facility with Steve Cotterill and Paul Tamlyn on hand to turn out the replays and highlights on demand. HD Edit Facilities: At present we can offer superb High Definition editing facilities at our edit booth in Leicester using powerful MAC G5’s, massive external disk arrays and Final Cut 5 HD or alternatively we can bring the HD editing facilities to you in our new OB Server 2 truck.

Sky Premier League Darts: For the third year, Editec have been contracted by Sky Sports to bring the UK Darts audience the excitement of the Premier League Darts as the World’s top professionals tour the country, from Plymouth to Aberdeen, Brighton to Belfast battling for the “premiership” crown. 3 x 6ch XT EVS’s and 3 senior operators along with Bow Tie’s OB facility will provide replays and highlights of the action from 31st January until the grand final in Cardiff at the end of May 2008.
